Replacement Names Surface As Hevesi Is Expected To Resign |

NYS Comptroller Alan Hevesi is expected to announce his resignation Friday afternoon. In light of the expected vacancy, there have been a number of names that are being circulated as possible replacements for the NYS Comptroller office. The folks mentioned most prominently are: - William "Bill" Mulrow, former NYS Comptroller candidate
- former Assemblymember Richard Brodsky
- Assemblymember Thomas DiNapoli
- former US Attorney and former Attorney General candidate Denise O'Donnell
Others mentioned also include: - NYC Comptroller William Thompson, Jr.
- Assemblyman Michael Gianaris of Queens
- Assemblyman Joseph Morelle of Rochester
- Assemblyman Alexander "Pete" Grannis of New York City
- Adolfo Carrion Jr., the Bronx borough president
